The tasks and competences of the Deputy Rector for Cooperation with the Economy include in particular:

• making decisions concerning property and economy in the ordinary administration of affairs of the subordinated department;
• developing material and financial plans for the department and reports on their implementation;
• supervision of the disbursement of funds within the division's budget;
• initiating and organising cooperation between businesses and the University, in particular by organising meetings between    businesses and research teams from the University;
• supervising the implementation of changes introduced by the "Law on Higher Education and Science" in the scope related to the tasks of the subordinate Department;
• signing diplomas of the Faculty of Construction, Architecture and Environmental Engineering;
• supervising contracts related to the activities of the Department;
• concluding contracts within the competence of the Deputy Rector for Cooperation with the Economy and within the scope of the Department's activities.
• supervision of the operation of Centre for Enterprise and Technology Transfer, including the delivery of commissioned work carried out at the University and the Academic Business Incubator;
• supervision over the protection, management and commercialisation of the results of scientific and research work created at the University of Zielona Góra or with the participation of the University;
• supervision of the University's research infrastructure;
• representing the University in activities related to the awarding of public contracts in accordance with Article 44 of the Public  Finance Act;
• supervising the preparation of periodic summary reports on the Department's activities as required by law;
• supervising the timeliness and correctness of data entered into the POL-on system concerning the Department's activities;
• representing the University in business bodies, in particularin business support organisations.
